FAQ

Q: Why a whole weekend?
A: Because one night just isn’t enough. We want this to be more than a wedding: a chance for everyone to slow down, spend time together, and really connect. By the end of the weekend, we hope you’ll know each other’s names, share stories, and feel like part of the same support network that will surround us in our marriage.

Guests are encouraged to join us for the full weekend beginning Friday at noon. Ingalls Creek offers plenty to enjoy onsite, including time in the creek, a zipline, lawn games, and nature walks. Leavenworth and Cashmere are both a short drive away if you feel like exploring. Guests are free to come and go as needed, and we hope you’ll settle in and spend as much of the weekend with us as you can.

Q: What should I wear?
A: For the weekend as a whole, the vibe is very casual. You will be playing lawn games and wandering the property so dress for comfort and ease.

For the family barbecue on Saturday, we are leaning into the timing and inviting everyone to wear their most patriotic outfit. Red, white, blue, stars, stripes, vintage Americana, earnest or ironic, anything goes.

For the wedding ceremony, we’d love to see our guests dressed to the nines. Think vintage, eclectic, and delightfully over the top. Picnic meets the derby. Bold is encouraged.

Women: Long or mid-length dresses in bright florals, rich colors, or playful patterns. Feathers, beads, statement accessories, and dramatic details are all welcome. Choose shoes that can handle forest floors and dancing. And yes, feel free to outshine the bride (just not in white, please!).

Men: Suits or dress slacks with a blazer. Color, texture, and personality encouraged. Think linen, patterns, pocket squares, or a great hat. Ties welcome but optional. If you have something playful in your closet, this is the moment for it.

Tip: Evenings can get cool in the mountains, so bring a wrap, shawl, or jacket (especially those of you from the south!).

Q: Can I bring a plus-one?
A: If your invitation includes a guest’s name or says “and Guest,” we’d love for them to join.

Q: Can I bring fireworks?
A: Absolutely not. We hear you, but no. Just no. Unless you’re talking about drama, then maybe (the bride does love good-natured chaos).

Q: Will I have cell service on the way or at the venue?
A: Probably not. Cell service is very limited along Highway 97 and at Ingalls Creek. Be sure to download directions before you lose service or print them out ahead of time like it’s MapQuest circa 2003.

Q: What’s the weather like in July?
A: Hot and hopefully sunny. Expect warm days in the 90s and cooler evenings. The ceremony and reception are outdoors, so plan for sunshine and bring a layer for nightfall.

Q: Will there be photos?
A: Definitely. We’ll have a professional photographer at the ceremony and reception, but we also want to see your perspective. Feel free to take photos during the celebration, just please keep phones tucked away during the ceremony so everyone can be present. After that, share your shots in our shared album via the QR codes on the tables.

Q: What’s the food and drink situation?
A: Expect great food and lots of it. Casual meals throughout the weekend and full dinners on Saturday and Sunday night. There will be plenty of alcoholic and non-alcoholic options, so please do not bring your own alcoholic beverages. All alcohol will be provided and served onsite. A reusable water bottle for refilling is encouraged but not necessary.

Q: Where are we staying?
A: Everything is on-site at Ingalls Creek unless you book your own rental. Onsite there are apartments, bunkbeds, and campsites options. You can find full details and prices on our “Where to stay” page. Once you arrive, you can park and stay for the whole weekend without having to leave.

Q: Are kids welcome?
A: Yes. The property is family-friendly with plenty of open space, but please keep an eye on little ones near the creek and trails. On Sunday night, the DJ will be transitioning to adults-only music around 9:30pm.

Q: What should I pack?
A: Layers for day and night, comfortable shoes, and a swimsuit for creek dips. If you’re staying in the bunkbeds, please bring your own bedding and towels.

Q: Can I arrive early or stay late?
A: Guests are welcome to arrive Friday afternoon or Saturday morning and stay through Monday morning. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate earlier arrival or later departure. Please contact us directly with any travel concerns.

Q: Anything else I should know?
A: Just this. The weekend is about connection. Take a deep breath, meet someone new, and be part of the community we’re building together.

Additional weekend details will be shared upon arrival. If you have questions at any point, just ask.
